This tool simulates the visual look of an iOS iMessage thread: a status bar, a contact header with an avatar, and a stack of message bubbles in the iOS blue/gray color scheme. You control every piece of text and every setting, and the canvas redraws live as you type.
For entertainment and design use only. This generator is intended for memes, jokes, mockups, presentation slides, storyboards and UI/UX prototyping. It must not be used to create fake screenshots presented as real evidence, to harass or defame someone, or to impersonate a real person's actual conversation — doing so can constitute fraud, defamation or harassment under the laws of many countries.
Nothing you type ever leaves your device. The whole preview is rendered with the HTML5 Canvas API in your browser, and the PNG export happens locally too — there is no server, no upload, no account.

How to Use

- Add message rows one by one: type the text, choose whether it's from "Them" (left, gray) or "Me" (right, blue), and optionally add a timestamp label.
- Watch the phone-shaped preview update live as you edit.
- Reorder or remove rows with the row controls until the conversation looks right.
- Click "Download PNG" to save the finished image to your device.

This generator exists for creative and design purposes — memes, sketches, storyboards, presentation mockups and app prototyping. Fabricated chat screenshots have real-world consequences when misused, so please keep a few boundaries in mind.
- Do not present a generated image as a genuine screenshot of an actual conversation.
- Do not use it to fabricate evidence for a dispute, workplace complaint, legal matter or news story.
- Do not use it to impersonate a specific real person's words without their consent, or to harass, defame or intimidate anyone.
- If you share a generated image publicly, consider labeling it as a mockup so nobody mistakes it for a real conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it legal to use this to prank a friend or make a meme?
Using it for jokes, memes, mockups or presentations among friends who understand it's fabricated is generally fine. It becomes illegal the moment you present a fake conversation as real evidence, use it to defame or harass someone, or impersonate a real person's actual message history — this can amount to fraud, defamation or harassment depending on your jurisdiction. Never use fake screenshots in disputes, legal proceedings, workplace conflicts or to deceive anyone.
Does this tool upload my messages to a server?
No. Every message, name and setting you type stays in your browser's memory. The preview is drawn with the Canvas API and the PNG is generated and downloaded locally — nothing is ever transmitted anywhere.
Can I add a real photo as the contact avatar?
Yes — click the avatar circle to upload your own image, or leave it blank to fall back to a colored circle with the contact's initials, matching the iOS default avatar style.
Can I control the exact time and battery percentage shown?
Yes — the status bar time, battery percentage and signal bar count are all editable fields, and they update in the live preview instantly.
What image format and size does it export?
It exports a PNG sized like a phone screen (a portrait aspect ratio similar to modern iPhones), generated directly from the canvas at full resolution.
Can I make a dark background message screenshot?
Yes — there's a theme toggle next to the signal-bars setting that switches the whole preview to iOS-style dark mode: a true black background, a dark gray bubble for received messages, and the same iMessage blue for sent ones. If you're mocking up a screenshot for daytime or a well-lit setting, keep light mode; if the scene you're illustrating is at night or you just want the black-background look that's now the default on most iPhones, switch to dark mode before you render and download.
How do I make a fake text message screenshot?
Type the contact name, add message rows for each side of the conversation, adjust the status bar if you like, then click "Download PNG" — the phone-shaped preview renders instantly and matches the downloaded image exactly.
Does this show blue bubbles or green bubbles?
This tool renders iMessage's blue sent-bubble style. For a green-bubble SMS/Android look, use the separate Android/SMS-style chat generator on this site instead.
Can I show delivered or read receipts?
The status bar and message layout match iOS, but a dedicated "Delivered"/"Read" label under the last bubble isn't currently a toggle — you can approximate it by adding a short text row if you need that detail visible.
Is this affiliated with Apple?
No — this is an independent mockup tool, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or built by Apple. It's designed to visually resemble iMessage closely enough for mockups and memes, not to replicate the real Messages app.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
